Rangasetu Fellowship
The “Rangasetu Fellowship” is an annual award for emerging artists in Theatre (writing/directing/acting), Visual Arts (painting, sculpture, installation, etc.), Music (vocal, instrumental, composition), and Dance (classical, contemporary, experimental). It serves as a stepping stone for aspiring artists seeking professional careers. The fellowship, named “RANGASETU,” acts as a bridge between budding artists and the professional world.
Selected candidates receive a monthly grant of Rs 12,000 (totaling Rs One Lakh Twenty Thousand) and must submit a trimonthly creative work report. An expert committee assesses the reports before releasing the next installment of the fellowship. At the fellowship’s conclusion, candidates showcase their projects through stage performances, displays, or exhibitions at Maharashtra Cultural Centre.
