“नृत्य”/ Classical dance is a part of the rich Indian Heritage. Guru Shama Bhate is the visionary leader of the MCC “नृत्य”/Dance wing. Maharashtra Cultural Centre in collaboration with Shama Tai’s  ‘Nadroop” enables the dancers of Pune to present performances which would be otherwise unthinkable.
Maharashtra Cultural Centre in collaboration with Nadroop regularly organizes various events every year. There are lecture demonstrations, seminars, workshops, screening sessions of videos/films of veteran dancers and choreographers followed by discussions.
Padmashree Astad Deboo and Padmabhushan Dr. Kanak Rele have conducted intense and enlightening workshops for MCC.

Maharashtra Cultural Centre, Pune regularly organizes classical dance classes under the leadership of Nupur Daithankar for Bharatnatyam and Rajashri Jawdekar for Kathak as a means to promote the cultural heritage of our dance traditions whilst creating a platform for children and upcoming artists to learn and showcase their talent.
